Foundations Run By Classmates
Any excess funds from donations, will be distributed to the two Foundations we are sponsoring. The Foundations we plan to donate excess funds to were chosen because of two of our Fellow Classmates; Scott Neil and Geoff Graham. They play an important role in these worthy organizations. Please read about their work below.

The Kentucky Race Track Chaplaincy –
“A Ministry of Presence”
MISSION: “Faith in motion. Hope at every finish line.”
Our mission is to nurture the spiritual and material needs of everyone in the horse racing industry and their families through Christian ministry.

OUR WORK
Our Chaplains serve the entire horse racing community — jockeys, trainers, and backside workers — with compassion and care.

“We walk beside those who keep the sport alive, often unseen but never forgotten.”

They spend significant time walking the stables, building relationships, and offering emotional, physical, and spiritual support. Many workers are immigrants with little or no support system in the community.

Over the past decade, the Hispanic community on the backsides has grown from 20% to more than 80%. Though most earn modest incomes, many send much of their paychecks to families in Latin America.

“Through prayer, counseling, and practical aid, we help families stay connected and hopeful.”

OUR IMPACT
Through daily presence and prayer, KRTC brings hope and stability to the racetrack community. Chaplains provide Bible studies, worship services, counseling, and emergency assistance — meeting people where they are, often in moments of deep need

“When a groom’s family faced a medical crisis, KRTC stepped in with prayer, food, and financial help.”

We also host community events that celebrate faith and fellowship — from holiday gatherings to the annual Race for Grace Gala, which fuels our outreach and connects supporters with the heart of the ministry.

“Your generosity keeps the ministry strong and ensures every worker feels seen and valued.”

HOW YOU CAN HELP
Your support makes this ministry possible. Whether through donations, volunteering, or prayer, you help us share God’s love with those who care for Kentucky’s horses.

WaterStep is an NGO based in Kentucky, USA, that focuses on sustainable solutions to the world’s WASH crisis. Since 1995, WaterStep has evolved from a small service organization to a global leader in safe water solutions and innovation.

WaterStep has developed simple tools, patented technology, and effective training to empower people and communities to solve their own water and sanitation needs. We provide expert solutions for places where infrastructure is fragile and execution challenges are particularly difficult, especially in slums, rural villages, and in communities responding to natural and manmade disasters. WaterStep combines safe water and disinfectant technology, and health and hygiene education because safe water in a dirty cup is no longer safe, and dirty hands spread disease.
